County Welfare Directors Association of California (CWDA) is seeking an Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for implementing the organization’s mission and strategic goals and objectives. This complex position’s responsibilities include leadership over politics, policy, operations, budget, and public relations of CWDA. The Executive Director carries out their duties with the support of approximately 13 staff and an operating budget of approximately $7 million for the 2023-24 fiscal year. The preferred candidate is an experienced leader with a proven track record of collaboratively overseeing an association led by a board of diverse members, perspectives, and regions. Essential skills include the ability to cultivate robust relationships with various agencies and stakeholders to advocate successfully for CWDA initiatives and programs. Familiarity with California county health and human service programs, funding, and a grasp of the California state budget and legislative processes will enable the incoming Executive Director to make an immediate impact.

Salary: Up to $325,000
