City of Tampa, FL is seeking a Housing and Community Development Manager.  The City is looking for a visionary leader with a passion for and proven background in the field of housing and community development to take on this role. The staff of this division is highly trained and exceptionally competent in their technical fields. The next Manager will build on this technical foundation to bring fresh, innovative ideas and dynamic approaches to achieve the division’s goals. This person will need to go beyond existing, well-established programs for fresh ideas and new ways to distribute funds in strategically meaningful ways. Additionally, the next Manager must have exemplary leadership skills for both management of the internal staff of the Division and external coordination with political and regulatory stakeholders at the local, state, and federal level. A key component of the role is to build the talent, cohesion, and capability of the staff.
