Deputy Director - Behavioral Health

Inyo County – Health and Human Services is seek a Deputy Director – Behavioral Health. The Deputy Director provides leadership to the Behavioral Health team in the provision of trauma-informed prevention and treatment services. This position will plan, oversee, direct, and provide guidance to multiple programs, including outpatient mental health and SUD services; Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) programs, including two Wellness Centers; Progress House, a 24-hour residential program; and crisis response, including oversight of a 24-hour mental health on-call response system. With guidance from the Behavioral Health Advisory Board, this position will assess the need for and feasibility of new and creative service lines and make recommendations to the Director of Health and Human Services and the County Board of Supervisors. This position has responsibility for both administrative and clinical oversight of behavioral health programs and acts as the Mental Health Director for Inyo County, as well as the head of service for the provision of Medi-Cal services. This position may be assigned to act in the capacity of the LPS Conservator under the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act; and will serve as a thought leader and advocate in the development of community based programs and a robust system of care.

Salary: $91,332 - $110,976
