Long Beach Transit is seeking a Comptroller. The Comptroller is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented team player who will provide objective, independent assessments of the performance of LBT programs, services, activities, and functions – the results of which can be used to recommend improvements and facilitate decision-making by management. The Comptroller shall ensure the coordination of external audits and corresponding document preparation and shall oversee reviews of processes and controls within the agency. The Comptroller also analyzes financial data and prepares performance reports for management review.

The successful candidate must embrace and be motivated by LBT’s values previously mentioned. They must be a go-getter, ready to hit the ground running who is highly skilled in many areas including leading the coordination of external audits by communicating with outside agencies; coordinating requests with internal staff; preparing audit schedules and compiling requested data by outside agencies; developing and presenting an annual audit plan and audit proposals; and tracking results of audits and implementation of recommendations.
