Douglas County is seeking a Senior Treasury Accountant. The Senior Treasury Accountant will be an integral part of the Treasurer’s Office, responsible for the daily cash position and reconciliation resulting in cash movement activities and fund transfers, distribution of property tax revenue, reconciliation of bank statements, General Ledger, and investment accounts. The ideal candidate for this position will hold, or have the ability to attain, a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) license and have strong skills in accounting and the ability to handle large incoming funds via cash, check and electronic funds. The successful incumbent will have the ability to perform cash forecasting to match portfolio liquidity to future expenditures needed. They will thrive in a team environment, willing to cross-train within the department to assist during absences and peak tax collection cycles. Using strong communication skills, they will collaborate successfully with various departments. The ideal candidate will also have experience navigating tax collection software and banking systems and will be crucial in building relationships with banking partners and ensuring the accuracy of transactions and charges.
