Santa Clara Valley Habitat Agency is seeking an Associate Environmental Planner/GIS Specialist. Under general direction, the Associate Environmental Planner/GIS Specialist will manage complex, difficult, and sensitive environmental and/or planning projects, and may serve as project leader for a major environmental and/or planning project or study. The position will be approximately 60% environmental planning and 40% GIS and database work. The Associate Environmental Planner/GIS Specialist will provide research, review, and write tasks as necessary to support a wide range of planning tasks and overall plan implementation. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and experience with relevant environmental regulations and permits/approvals (e.g., CWA 401/402/404, NWP/IP, NEPA, CEQA, ESA). The desired candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a desire to grow professionally.
