Indian Wells Valley Water District, CA is seeking a General Manager. The General Manager (GM) will receive policy direction from the Directors and shall be responsible for implementing the Board’s policies. The GM will determine and execute administrative policies through Department Heads to implement Board policies. Included with this is the planning and design of facilities, construction, operation and maintenance of facilities and the administration of the business affairs of the District. The GM shall supervise all District employees through Department Heads including the Chief Engineer, Operations Manager and Chief Financial Officer, manage the employer/employee relations of the District, and work closely with legal, engineering, and technical consultants.

The District is looking for a dynamic, service-oriented leader and strategic partner to serve as its GM. The GM must engage and interface with local, state and federal elected officials, local stakeholders and the general public to develop collaborative solutions facing the Indian Wells Valley. The GM will need to be assertive and support a hands-on approach to assist Department Heads in managing and mentoring their teams by developing and implementing goals that will influence the District for years to come.
