Foothill Municipal Water District is seeking an Assistant District Engineer. Under the direction of the District Engineer, the Assistant District Engineer will assist the District Engineer in the successful management of all engineering projects at the District. These projects include the delivery of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and ensuring that the District’s capital and rehabilitation projects are completed on a timely basis and in the most cost-effective manner. Depending on performance, and at the sole discretion of the District, the person in this position may be considered for a promotion to the District Engineer position when it becomes available. The ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal direct supervision, exercise independent judgment, and demonstrate initiative in complex responsible and sensitive areas. The Assistant District Engineer must be a strong and approachable leader and great communicator.
