The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino is seeking a Director of Development. Under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director, the Director of Development implements, directs and oversees the operations related to the Housing Authority’s real estate portfolio to include development, redevelopment, repositioning of assets, financing and re-financing. The Director shall perform project planning and administrative functions, including analytical, statistical and administrative work on projects and will conducts a variety of studies and research for programs and their financial support. Additionally, the Director will prepare reports and recommendations relative to assigned areas of responsibility and provide oversight and participate in the work of a Real Estate Project Manager.

This position is responsible for the supervision of the Real Estate Development staff. The incumbent is responsible for performing activities in accordance with the organization’s personnel policies, priorities, procedures, and applicable laws. The responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees as well as planning, assigning and directing work. Additionally, the Director of Development is responsible for appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving concerns.
