The Housing Authority of the City of San Luis Obispo is seeking an Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have an urban development mindset with a desire to increase HASLO’s community impact by building new and affordable housing. The Executive Director will have a people-first perspective when considering HASLO staff and the communities it supports and work to sustain and develop partnerships with HASLO’s current and future partners. The ideal candidate will have a servant-leadership style by being approachable while working to further the initiatives established by the previous Executive Director. The incumbent will have the political acumen to navigate challenges with state and local officials while coaching all involved to remember the true mission of supporting the development of a safe and affordable neighborhood for all residents. Experience interpreting section 8 and HUD policies combined with neighborhood planning will be an asset in this role.
