Monterey One Water is seeking a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager performs responsible professional accounting and financial forecasting, including the maintenance, compilation, and review of financial records; assists the CFO in preparing various reports and financial statements, including the Agency’s annual budget document, Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR); interprets and applies GASB pronouncements and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. The Finance Manager is responsible for management of the general ledger, cash and investments, and capital assets, including overseeing monthly bank reconciliations, tracking of capital projects, as well as month and fiscal year end closing of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills to advance the Agency’s strategic objectives and support the Finance department and its staff. Responsibilities will require strong planning and analytical skills, strategic thinking, troubleshooting skills and solid judgement. The candidate must have a positive attitude and ensure a high degree of accuracy and reliability, while working with the CFO to implement innovative solutions for the department and Agency.
