City of Farmers Branch

City of Farmers Branch is seeking a Chief of Police. The Farmers Branch Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the City of Farmers Branch and provides a full range of police services to 52 diverse neighborhoods. The department has about 80 sworn officers and the Chief is supported by 2 Assistant Chiefs.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience implementing new, improved, and progressive police methodologies, policies, and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the Department and the City. Open to change that supports the achievement of goals.
  • Have experience cultivating and building relationships across diverse community groups, with an orientation towards being visible and engaging and making the community a partner.
  • Have a servant leader’s heart, and authentic drive to make the Police Department one of the best departments serving its residents and business in the Dallas area.
  • Have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the principles of effective leadership and management.
  • Have good written and oral communication skills, including being an active listener.

Location: Farmers Branch, Texas
Salary: $147,337.27 - $235,584.59
