The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority is seeking a Deputy Director - Controller. The Deputy Director - Controller provides executive-level supervision of the budgeting, financial reporting, accounting, asset management, debt administration, treasury, internal audit, revenue collection, payroll, and accounts payable functions of VTA. This role will be heavily involved in the preparation and delivery of financial analysis and reporting, budget development and administration, completion of National Transit Database reports, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, maintenance of the general ledger, and Single Audits. The selected candidate for this role will be a seasoned government finance professional with experience in enterprise and government fund accounting. Experience in local governments or transit agencies is preferred. Past experience working closely with public officials, both appointed and elected, will be extremely valuable.
