AC Transit is accepting applications for their Assistant Director of Transportation position.  The District is seeking a strong leader with an in-depth knowledge of bus transportation and yard operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with an elected board and unions; deep knowledge of transportation, preferably buses; bus yard operations; dispatch, is a must. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to establish relationships of trust with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong leadership skills; emotional intelligence; a solid ethical foundation; a vision for the future; the ability to develop and promote a diverse and productive work force environment; and to lead, manage, and supervise his/her team while holding them accountable will be vital for this position.
