City of Fort Worth is seeking an Assistant Director of Neighborhood Services - Community Services. The incoming Assistant Director will serve as a prominent liaison for the department, engaging with city executive leadership, elected officials, and diverse community and non-profit stakeholders. This individual will hold a pivotal advisory role to the Director, providing strategic insights on policy, budgeting, and spearheading long-term operational strategies for the department. Perhaps most importantly, the Assistant Director will lead by example by upholding standards of trust, transparency, and honesty in all interactions and fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive work environment. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned servant leader with a wealth of experience in social services programs, particularly in urban environments. They will possess a comprehensive understanding of the human services ecosystem and the delivery of social services, along with proficiency in local, state, and federal grant programs and other funding options. This individual will demonstrate strategic leadership qualities that foster encouragement and collaboration among team members and external partners, have a passion for human services, and be poised to drive positive change that makes a meaningful impact in Fort Worth’s communities.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000
