The Utah Transit Authority is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO). The CPO is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s people strategies in alignment with UTA’s mission, vision, and values. The CPO oversees all human resource functions, including employee and labor relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and employee development. This leader plays a critical role in managing the organization’s relationship with union leadership and guiding the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations. Additionally, the CPO serves as UTA’s Equal Employment Opportunity Officer, ensuring compliance with federal requirements. The CPO fosters a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement, supporting UTA’s commitment to operational excellence in one of the state’s largest workforces. The ideal candidate for the Chief People Officer (CPO) role at UTA must possess a robust blend of labor relations experience, strategic leadership capabilities, and a commitment to fostering organizational excellence.

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Salary: $173,000 - $216,000
