Assistant Finance Director/City Treasurer

The City of Fort Worth is seeking an Assistant Finance Director/City Treasurer, who will play a pivotal role in managing the city's $2.5 billion investment portfolio and comprehensive debt management program. As City Treasurer, you'll lead a team of dedicated professionals across five critical divisions: Central Accounts Payable, Central Payroll, Central Revenue/Collections, Debt Administration, and General Treasury. This key leadership position combines the excitement of modern municipal finance with the stability and purpose of public service. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with technical expertise in Treasury functions, including cash management and debt administration. They have a proven track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams and possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with council members, executives, and credit rating agencies. A commitment to continuous learning and process improvement is essential. A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is preferred, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it within the first two years of employment.

Salary: $150,000 - $178,000
