Programming Director

Ventura County Transportation Commission is seeking a Programming Director. This role involves coordinating VCTC’s funding with additional sources to support transportation projects and operational goals. The Director will collaborate with government agencies, transit operators, and other stakeholders to develop financial and highway project plans while ensuring compliance with state and federal transportation policies. Responsibilities also include procurement and contract management, public presentations, and overseeing environmental considerations related to transportation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of transportation planning, state and federal funding policies, and regional transportation issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to integrate diverse funding sources and develop strategic solutions. Candidates should demonstrate leadership in managing staff, establishing professional relationships, and effectively communicating complex information to various stakeholders.
