seeks an experienced housing and neighborhood development leader to serve as an Assistant Director of Neighborhood Services. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the city’s efforts in community revitalization, neighborhood improvement, and affordable housing development. The Assistant Director will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio, including housing and community development, rehabilitation and home improvements, neighborhood development and revitalization, housing finance, and public service agency programs. This position is also responsible for overseeing substantial federal and state grant programs, such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery and PRO Housing grants.
The City is seeking a driven, results-oriented leader who is not only well-versed in housing and neighborhood revitalization but also has a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in complex urban environments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept communicator, team builder and hands-on problem solver, capable of driving transformative change across multiple program areas, including housing development, community action, and grant management. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be adept at managing both long-term strategic initiatives and immediate operational challenges.
