Help shape the future of Edmonds’ stormwater infrastructure and environmental health. The City of Edmonds is seeking an experienced, licensed Professional Civil Engineer to lead the Stormwater Engineering and Compliance Program. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and environmental stewardship—overseeing everything from regulatory compliance and private development review to designing and delivering capital improvement projects.
As our Stormwater Engineer, you’ll:
- Develop and update City stormwater codes, standards, and capital plans
- Manage assigned capital improvement projects from concept to completion
- Oversee NPDES Phase II permit compliance and reporting
- Provide technical guidance to staff, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Ensure our stormwater systems protect water quality, reduce flooding, and enhance aquatic habitat
We’re looking for a proactive leader with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, a Washington State PE license, and at least four years of municipal engineering experience—preferably in stormwater design and environmental permitting.
Salary: $9,279.48 – $12,434.82/month (new hires typically start between $9,279.48 and $10,741.74, DOE)
