Dallas Police & Fire Pension System is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for all accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role blends hands-on financial leadership with strategic oversight, requiring both technical excellence and strong collaboration across the organization. The next CFO will be a financially astute, collaborative leader who brings both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a CPA or possess equivalent advanced governmental accounting expertise
  • Have experience in public sector, pension systems, or audit/accounting environments
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of GASB standards, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Bring working knowledge of actuarial funding concepts and investment accounting
  • Be a hands-on leader comfortable operating in a small organization
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and adaptability
  • Be a problem solver and consensus builder who can work effectively with strong personalities

Location: Dallas, Texas
Salary: $150,000 - $275,000
