The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking a Utilities Director, this role serves as a key member of the City’s Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic and operational leadership for water, wastewater, and solid waste systems that serve both local and regional customers. This role blends technical expertise, financial stewardship, and executive leadership, overseeing:

  • Long-term capital planning and infrastructure investment
  • Utility rate strategy and financial sustainability
  • Organizational leadership and workforce development
  • Regional partnerships and stakeholder engagement
You will guide a department that delivers essential services to hundreds of thousands of customers while positioning Cedar Rapids for long-term growth and resilience.
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Salary: $147,763 – $206,876.80
