Municipal Pooling Authority (MPA) is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a business savvy, astute leader to galvanize the efforts of a dynamic, committed staff to provide exemplary service to MPA’s 21 member agencies.
Under the general direction of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the CAO is given the responsibility to plan, organize, manage and direct the JPA Programs for participating members. The CAO is responsible for the coordination and supervision of professional staff who are assigned to the various support service departments of the organization.
The CAO administers and provides oversight of all affairs of the JPA, including self-funding levels, policy coverages, and management of selected brokers and insurance, with the primary objective to protect the assets and exposures of the member cities/towns. Further, the CAO is responsible for the ongoing development of JPA Programs, to include alternative risk financing methods, proposed rates for self-funded programs, managing fund investments, maintaining fiscally sound program funding, negotiating excess coverage rates, and recommending dividends or assessments as necessary.
