Salary: Based on billing 1,500 hours per year: $153,068 - $182,611 depending on level of experience.

School & College Legal Services of California (SCLS) is seeking Attorney(s). This position provides trusted legal counsel and representation to California school districts, community colleges, and county offices of education across a broad range of labor and employment, business, and facilities matters. Working closely with educational leaders, the attorney serves as a strategic advisor, delivering practical legal guidance that helps clients achieve their operational goals while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The attorney will advise clients on labor and employment issues including employee relations, disability access and accommodations, discrimination and harassment claims, personnel investigations, employee discipline, employment records and privacy, and employment-related litigation and pre-litigation matters. In addition, the role provides legal support on business and facilities matters, including public contracting, procurement, construction contracts, and complex facilities initiatives such as solar and clean energy projects. The attorney will help clients navigate evolving legal and regulatory requirements while supporting successful project delivery and long-term organizational objectives.

This position requires active membership in the State Bar of California.
