The Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo, is seeking an accomplished Human Resources professional to serve as Court Human Resources Director and strategic advisor to the Court Executive Officer. This is an opportunity to shape the workforce, culture, and HR infrastructure supporting approximately 300 employees and a $65 million organization.

The Director provides executive leadership across employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, classification and compensation, performance management, workers’ compensation, compliance, and HR operations. This position also oversees Facilities; prior facilities management experience is not needed. The successful candidate will strengthen accountability, modernize policies and practices, lead organizational change, and mitigate organizational risk.

We are seeking a strategic HR leader who thrives in complex or regulated environments, is comfortable addressing difficult issues, and can translate organizational challenges into measurable results. Public-sector or judicial experience is preferred.
