Monterey County, Social Services is searching for a Deputy Director, Family and Children’s Services. Under general direction the Deputy Director for Family and Children’s Services plans, implements, coordinates, and directs the Department of Social Services’ Family and Children’s Services program which includes: Prevention services, Emergency Response, Child Abuse Hotline, Foster Care, Resource Home Approval, and Permanency Services. The ideal candidate will be an approachable, experienced leader in the Child Welfare arena with the ability to work collaboratively with the senior management team, staff, and stakeholders including other County departments, public safety, the courts and community groups.
