The California Department of Housing & Community Development is searching for a Deputy Director, Administration and Management. Under the general direction of the Chief Deputy Director, the Deputy Director (DD) is responsible for the administrative operations that support the Department’s mission. The DD develops, manages, and provides direction and oversight for key administrative services within the Department. The DD ensures the development of strategic goals and objectives for the Administration & Management Division, and develops, recommends, and implements policy related to budgets, bond management, accounting, human resources, business services, facilities, contracts, procurement, and information technology matters, and participates as a member of the HCD Executive Leadership Team. State civil service employees must possess essential general qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and ability to work cooperatively with others.
Experience as an employee of the State of California is strongly preferred.
