The California Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD) is urgently hiring for 8 Disaster Relief positions.  We need your talent to assist in California’s recovery from the recent, unprecedented devastation to our state caused by wildfires, flooding, mud and debris flows. The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is seeking qualified, experienced individuals to build a new unit entirely committed to disaster relief and recovery efforts throughout the State.

The Disaster Recovery unit will work on the cutting edge to design and implement critical recovery programs and long-term mitigation strategies to rebuild impacted California communities, while working to reduce impacts of future disasters. The unit will focus on key programmatic and policy areas including:

  • Housing
  • Infrastructure
  • Economic Development
  • Environmental Mitigation
  • Procurement, Monitoring and Compliance
