Santa Clara County Housing Authority is seeking a Housing Policy Manager. The Housing Policy Manager administers, manages, organizes, and monitors the formulation of the Santa Clara County Housing Authority’s (Agency) policies and Moving to Work (MTW) Plan and Report for the administration of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and affordable housing programs, as noted above. The incumbent manages the effective use of program and project resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service, provides complex and responsible support to the Assistant Director of Housing, Policy, Training and Outreach, and performs related work as required. The ideal candidate will be a galvanizer of teams who champions collaboration through management of personnel and understanding of HUD regulations in an effort to improve programs based on local need. The individual will likely be a naturally curious person who can objectively analyze ideas, solve policy puzzles, and employ attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be driven to hold high expectations and be someone who gets others excited about contributing to stretch goals. Exceptional writing ability and grant management experience is a must and the ability to manage up and present/facilitate will be helpful.
