The Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District is seeking a Human Resources and Risk Manager. The Human Resources and Risk Manager, a newly created position for the District, is responsible for the development, implementation, administration, and application of employment and labor policies; safety and risk management strategies; and enhancing the District’s culture through the implementation of organizational improvement efforts. Additionally, this position has superintending control over the District’s third party risk contracts. Under the general direction of the General Manager, the Human Resources and Risk Manager will manage a full range of human resources services. The position includes acting as a counselor and coach to supervisors, managers and employees on human resources practices, policies, law, personnel rules, memorandum of understanding, contracts, report preparation and other highly professional written materials, and District representation in various capacities.
