City of Simi Valley is seeking an Administrative Services Director. The ideal candidate will provide a balance of technical knowledge in multiple areas of government operations and innovation to the City. The Director will be a strong leader, able to engage a large team while continuing to support the department’s dedication to excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have a solid political acumen while keeping aware of current trends and issues that affect the diverse areas of the Administrative Services Department. Experience in budget development, financial reporting, and familiarity with GASB will be beneficial. Typical functions for this role entail planning, organizing, and directing all internal support functions for all divisions, managing the development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Coordinating the development and administration of the department and City-wide budget and approving the forecast of funds needed for necessary expenditures within the city while implementing budgetary adjustments as necessary. Providing staff assistance to the City Manager while participating on a variety of boards, commissions, and committees.
