The City of Bakersfield, CA is seeking an Assistant Economic Development Director. Under general direction, the Assistant Economic Development Director will be an vital partner with the Economic & Community Development Director in planning, directing, organizing and reviewing the operation, development, promotion and administration of the Economic & Community Development Department; leads out the Citywide economic and community development goals and strategy; takes an active role in implementing strategy and project development for the department; supports and mentors on the most complex development projects; provides expertise to executive management staff and elected officials; acts as Economic & Community Development Director in their absence; and performs related work as required.
