California Privacy Protection Agency is seeking a Deputy Director of Public Affairs. The Deputy Director of Public Affairs is an essential part of CPPA’s leadership team. The Deputy Director will lead, oversee, and provide critical subject matter expertise to develop and implement policies for public education, outreach, media relations, writing, content creation, and communications. Individuals with experience crafting language regarding politically sensitive subjects and the ability to distill complex policy issues into communications that are easily accessible to the public will find success in this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of all modes of communication, including social media, and the ability to develop a sound strategy for integrating these different modes into an overall outreach and communication plan. As a new agency, a candidate that is collaborative, innovative, energetic, and politically astute will be the best fit to help shape the public affairs office.


Location: Sacramento, California
Salary: $11,102.00 - $13,226.00 per month
