The
Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas Life
is seeking a Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit combined with a desire to build a legacy of the City of Las Vegas through charitable giving. The Mayor’s Fund is effectively the people’s opportunity to partner and contribute to specific causes in the city by building public-private partnerships that advance critical city needs and priorities. To this end, the Board seeks an innovator to help drive the organization’s strategic direction, leverage resources, and raise funds for projects to address the city’s most pressing social challenges. The CEO should have experience working with corporate giving, board management, and nonprofit governance. This is a primarily people-facing role, so a dynamic personality and personal approach are foundational to help build relationships with a wide range of donors and partners that interact with The Mayor’s Fund. A background in fundraising is highly desirable. Lastly, the CEO should be inspiring. The CEO must be a dedicated individual capable of sharing the vision of The Mayor’s Fund projects. The role is about cultivating relationships with a broad donor base, engaging donors as a meaningful partner, and linking common interests with the Board’s strategic vision. In short, we’re looking for an innovative entrepreneur with a startup mentality.
