Chief Financial Officer
Utah Transit Authority

Utah Transit Authority (UTA) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO formulates investment strategies, Federal and State funding strategies, and financial policies and plans to support Board strategic priorities, organizational goals and objectives, and performance standards. This person acts as Treasurer for the organization by directing the entire range of financial activity including UTA management of bond, debt, and equipment lease programs, oversight of the Agency’s investments, and serves on UTA’s Pension Committee. Finally, the CFO designs, develops, and presents and interprets financial reports and other special reports for the Board of Directors and the executive team. The CFO will be the “go-to” person for all financial matters to both executive leadership and the Board of Trustees. Transit or public sector experience is highly desired, especially the critical elements of federal grant program management, financial reporting, and debt financing. An individual with both private and public sector experience would be highly competitive if they can bring a holistic set of perspectives to the table.
