Jackson County is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to be the next Human Resources Director. Reporting to the County Administrator and serving as a member of the County’s Department Director leadership team, the Human Resources Director has responsibility for overseeing the execution and administration of Countywide human resources programs and initiatives, making recommendations for organizational planning and development, creating and implementing policy initiatives, and ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and directives. The Human Resources Director manages a staff of 6 full time employees who provide internal services including job classifications; compensation and benefit plans; performance and talent management; Countywide training, employee development and recognition; employee and labor relations; and the Countywide health and safety program. The ideal candidate is a creative and adaptable leader who embraces the human aspects of human resources. The successful candidate is a dynamic and experienced manager with strong executive communication skills to effectively communicate and influence across all levels of the organization.
