The City of Oklahoma City is recruiting for a Development Services Director who will direct and coordinate the department’s mission of providing animal welfare, code enforcement, construction permitting and inspections, licensing, and development application review services to the development community and general public so they can receive timely development decisions and live in a clean, safe and stable City.
The Development Services Department is comprised of three divisions that include Animal Welfare, Code Enforcement, and the Development Center, with approximately 195 full-time employees and an annual departmental operating budget of $22,820,607.
The department is an integral part of many facets of the growing Oklahoma City community and strives to improve and enhance customer service delivery, professionalism, efficiency, consistency in business practices, and developing a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader, creative thinker, problem-solver, partnership builder, and someone who possesses exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidates shall have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with an organization of similar size or complexity as the City of Oklahoma City.
