Dallas County, Texas seeks a new Director of Juvenile Services. The Director of Juvenile Services directs department services, programs and facilities in order to maintain compliance with Title 3 of the Texas Family Code and Standards and other related state/federal statutes. The Director implements the directives and policies of the Juvenile Board relating to the delivery of these services and programs. This position promotes inter-agency and community collaboration to further the goals of the department. The Director will also manage human resources; facilitate effective processing of juvenile court cases; manage the fiscal resources of the department including budget preparation; develop and implement creative, effective rehabilitative programs that address the needs of youths and the courts; and evaluate staff and program performance in all assigned areas of juvenile services to ensure the effectiveness of services provided. The successful candidate must communicate effectively with the Juvenile Board, staff, other County officials and the community.
