The City of San Jose, CA is seeking a Deputy Director of Emergency Management. Under the general direction of the Director of the Office of Emergency Management, the Deputy Director will assist in managing the success of the Emergency Management Work Group (EMWG) in accomplishing the tasks set out in the newly established Emergency Management Roadmap. The EMWG includes the City Manager, Executive Management, Department Directors, Deputy Directors and Program Managers from throughout the city, who as a team, are responsible for accomplishing the tasks outlined in the Emergency Management Roadmap. Annually the Roadmap is updated to address the list of priorities identified during exercises, training, response, and recovery activities.
