The Turlock Irrigation District (TID) is searching for a General Manager. Under the policy-setting guidance of TID’s elected Board, the General Manager directs the day-to-day operations of TID’s extensive irrigation water storage and delivery system, as well as the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity within a 662 square-mile service area in Central California. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, public administration, engineering, or equivalent and experience at a senior management level that demonstrates a strong background and knowledge of irrigation water and/or electric utility operations and issues; combined with superior leadership and strategic planning skills. The General Manager has complete oversight responsibility to the Board of Directors for the effective leadership and management of TID. In consideration of Board established goals and priorities, the General Manager is expected to provide inspirational leadership for TID’s employees to accomplish TID’s adopted Mission, Vision, and Strategic Objectives and to develop and implement specific business plans and programs to meet the Strategic Objectives.
