Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Manager
City of Sugar Land

The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Manager is responsible for the operation and continuous development of the City’s Intelligent Transportation System. This manager oversees the daily operations of the Traffic Management Center (TMC) and will be involved in all associated projects directly or indirectly affecting the City’s ITS and transportation network. The Intelligent Transportation System Manager provides day-to-day leadership to the Traffic Management Center staff and reports to the City Traffic Engineer.

Requires a Bachelors in Transportation, Traffic Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.  One to two years of progressively responsible experience with a focus on traffic operations engineering.  A Professional Engineer or ability to obtain Engineer in Training Certificate within 18 months from date of hire for engineering candidates.
